I've made a few hats lately, just for fun and to get something quick and easy on the needles.
The first one is my own creation, it's a slouchy hat with moss stitch, and the yarn was called Extra Merino Premium by Schachenmayr. It's adult size so I could keep it myself, but I think I will pass it on at some point.
The second picture shows two kids/teenagers cabled hats I also made our of my own head - they feature basic cables, the other one at regular intervals and the other one varied. The yarn was held double, and the yarn was Nature Spun from Brown Sheep, which I received in a swap a while ago.
The third hat I will keep for myself though. It's a very simple stockinette tube so the edge rolls, and there's some slouch in there too. The yarn I used is lovely, I need to get my hands on some more! It's called Monsoon by James G. Brett and I got it in a swap from the UK once. It's soft and as it is a wool blend, I can even wash it in the machine.
So, how do you like my hats?
